What kind of products do you use?

We use all professional brand cosmetics such as Makeup Forever, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC, Urban Decay, Graftobian, Laura Mercier, Cinema Secrets—just to name a few.

These pro brand items ensure that your makeup will look flawless and smudge proof throughout the day. Also, we use all waterproof eyeliners and mascara.  if you prefer not to have waterproof makeup on your eyes, please let us know in advance.

What is the difference between Bridal packages vs. A La Carte services?

We have three bridal packages: Basic, Standard and Premier for brides only. These packages are designed so that the bride can fully experience the best time of her life within her own budget. Services are comprehensive, therefore, you can save more money by choosing a package deal (details under Services).  In order to book a bridal package, 50% non-refundable deposit and signed contract is required for securing trial and wedding date. This option is great for past clients who have worked with Kathy Huynh Artistry before and/or trust us for all your makeup needs.

A la carte services require no commitment.  Each services are charged individually as you go. This is great for brides who want to come do a trial first before deciding to officially book us. No retainer fee required for booking trial. To reserve wedding date, a signed contract and 30% non-refundable retainer of total is required. This is including all services for bride and bridal party/guests.

What is a preview? What can I expect from a preview?

A preview is essentially a consultation and a trial run of the makeup look for your wedding day. This is where we will discuss and try different products and colors until we can perfect the look of your dreams. You can use this time to tell me about your likes and dislikes. After the preview, you should feel confident in how you will look on your special day. Preview sessions take approximately 2 hours.

When should I book my preview session?

Preview session should be booked 2-4 months prior to wedding date. Weekday or Sunday is usually best for preview—however, it is subject to our availability.

What do I need for my preview session?

If possible, please come with your face done (foundation, mascara, lipstick, blush etc.)—Like how you would when you go out and about during the day. This will help us gauge your tolerance for makeup and what you feel comfortable with. You can also bring photos of makeup inspirations to help me give you the desired look.
